This is a very strange time. We don’t face these concerns where I came from. It’s not something I really thought about before I decided to come. It’s something I’m learning to understand. Trying to understand.
It’s very difficult to parse what is going on. I’m so used to only having one voice I have to trust, without any choice or alternative. I was eager for the freedom to hear multiple voices but the amount of differing information and panic seems to make this untenable in situations like this.
I still believe that freedom to listen and speak to whomever you wish is important. But I must find better tools and systems to suss out the signal from the noise.
