Tremolator from Soundtoys is really special. I used it for the first time this evening. Honestly, I’m little bored by the whole idea of tremolos. It’s not an effect I could see myself using all that often. I was so wrong.
This is just a quick example but Tremolator is so tweakable & rhythmic. It also has an envelope follower that can modulate the speed of of the effect or the depth or both. That sentence would have made zero sense to me a year ago. Very quick example, no Tremolator followed by Tremolator:
The effect is subtle in this example but I hope you can hear how much movement it brings to the sound. It’s really fun to discover something I already have to hand.
